From E-BookBuilders - Helping Authors Build Better Books
Scottish Author Wanted for Podcast
As many of you are aware, I host, record, produce and promote Bluebonnets, Bagpipes and Books Podcast. The show has been on hiatus most of the summer but we will be returning soon. One of the co-hosts has decided to leave the show so a search is on for a new “Bagpipes” aka a Scottish Author to replace him.
Our requirements are simple and few:
- Be Scottish (or maybe Irish)
- Must have a grasp of writing and grammar rules.
- Must have a sense of humor.
- Must have a thick skin and be able to take teasing.
Also, preferential consideration will be given to those who:
- Have a book published – either traditionally or indie.
- Have experience editing.
- The ability to laugh at one’s self and not take themselves too seriously.
At this time we are refocusing the show to be a discussion on writing, publishing and reading. Our plan is to either have one full-time co-host or a rotating array (between 2-4) authors to appear with myself or myself and Janet Wrenn on a regular basis.
Our listening audience is worldwide – the US, UK, Canada, Peru, Germany and Australia to name a few – and we are posed to hit a larger market in the coming year. (And yes, the shows are highly promoted!) This would be a great opportunity to introduce yourself to readers and writers as well as promoting yourself, your books and knowledge. If you haven’t already, listen to a few of the previous episodes to see what you could become a part of.
If you think you have what it take to be a podcast star or know someone who would fit into our dysfunctional yet thoroughly entertaining team, please contact podcast@e-bookbuilders.com.
FYI – co-hosts are not expected to do anything other the “show” up to talk – no production skills are needed.
